FuZe8 Feeder Class open Christchurch Primary Dance Festival 2019

FuZe8 Feeder class opened the Christchurch Primary Dance Festival at the Regent Centre on Wednesday 12 June 2019 with their piece:

    ‘Drowning in Plastic’ (2019)

Every day approximately 8 million pieces of plastic pollution enter our oceans. This dance looks at the invasion of plastic, and the devastating effect it’s having on our world.

FuZe8 dancers have been fortunate to work with Christina Binney who began her training with FuZe8 Youth Dance Company in 2010 before moving to London to study at Middlesex University. Christina graduated with a First Class Honours in Dance Studies (Choreography). She has since worked for Tanzlabor21 in Frankfurt Germany and as Graduate Academic Assistant (Dance) at Middlesex University, where she successfully qualified as an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I am very proud of the dancers, their performance had a sense of internal rhythm and classical positions, performed with strong execution. The buoyant choreography, full of design and variation of number were unexpected and refreshing.’

Nicola Lloyd, Artistic Director FuZe8 Dance Company.

FuZe8 Feeder class is open to years 7- 9 at Twynham School Tuesday 3.30-4.30pm during term time. For more details contact nicola@fuze8dance.co.uk
