FuZe8 Dance at Burton Primary School

FuZe8 had the opportunity to deliver a four-week pilot to integrate Dance and Literacy in the curriculum at KS2. The project was based on Gangsta Granny written by David Wailliams. Rebecca Harding, Year 5 teacher from Burton Primary School Bournemouth wanted FuZe8 to focus on transforming a section of the book ‘Stealing the Crown Jewels’ through dance. FuZe8’s successful and muddy performance at the New Forest marathon

FuZe8 Youth Dance Company performed with precision, energy and professionalism at the New Forest Marathon today. They dodged the rain as the sky turned blue and took to the stage. The forest was perfect for this piece of repertoire ‘Arena 74’ based on the idea of Hunger Games. The dancers were caked in green and brown camouflage make-up as well as new forest mud!….reflecting the fight for survival in the forest. FuZe8 curtain raiser for Rewind Forward

For the third year running FuZe8 have been fortunate to work with Yorke Dance Project In January 2017, Nicola organised a collaborative project between two local Bournemouth schools and first year degree students at the Arts University Bournemouth to perform a curtain raiser for Rewind Forward; an evening of dance led by Artistic Director Yolande Yorke-Edgell from Yorke Dance Project.
